About Us... A Day at Hexham Races

A warm and friendly welcome always awaits at the only racecourse in Northumberland and one of the most scenic in the country.
Situated 600 feet above Hexham the steeplechase course hosts 15 race meetings a year.

Hexham Racecourse takes full advantage of a natural amphitheatre of sloping grass below the stands to provide superb viewing of racing as well as the magnificent surrounding countryside.
Excellent viewing areas are also provided for people with disabilities, with lift access to all parts of the stands.

Hexham Racecourse offers excellent hospitality facilities including private boxes (from 18 to 30 guests) all with a wide variety of catering options in beautiful country surroundings.
It is also an ideal venue for seminars, conferences and private parties. As we also have a licence to hold marriage ceremonies we can cater for not only your special occasion but also a reception to match.
